Electrical Estimator/Senior Estimator Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator/Senior Estimator to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing estimate and cost planning services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present cost plans for commercial, institutional, and residential projects throughout Canada.
  • Manage estimating and cost planning activities, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Ensure effective cost analysis, cost checking, and valuation work.
  • Participate in value engineering, LEED analysis, and life cycle costing.
  • Provide input into value engineering and negotiate final accounts.
  • Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Prepare mechanical/electrical cost estimates for all asset classes and design levels related to real estate throughout Canada.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to the appropriate line manager.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate solid presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad Navisworks, and/or other related computer software.
  • Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player.
  • Good knowledge of all methods of construction procurement.
  • Experience with advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • Experience with key aspects of business development.
  • Good knowledge and experience gained within several industry sectors.
Education/Experience:
  • Experience preparing electrical cost estimates on complex construction projects.
  • Experience managing electrical cost or estimating on data center, high-tech, manufacturing, commercial real estate, or relatable construction projects.
  • Construction experience with electrical systems.
  • Experience with all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) a plus.
