Senior Financial Systems Implementation Specialist

Job Description:
AstraNorth is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Systems Implementation Specialist to join our team in Toronto, ON. This role will involve working on client PeopleSoft implementation projects, focusing on the General Ledger Module and Record to Report business processes in the Financial Domain.
About the Role:
- We are looking for an experienced professional with expertise in Process management and improvement, specifically in the General Ledger Module.
- The ideal candidate will have experience as a functional and techno-functional consultant in the PeopleSoft Financial environment, with a strong understanding of the Development Life Cycle (PDLC).
- You will be responsible for performing business process reviews, Fit-GAP analysis, conference room pilots, and documenting GL business processes, design, and configuration.
- Additionally, you will work on designing and testing GL Interfaces, converting ledger balances, and configuring month-end and year-end close procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business process reviews for GL processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements for GL implementation, using Fit-GAP methodology.
- Pilot new GL functionality with clients, providing training and support as needed.
- Configure chart-fields, combo-edits, and workflow approvals for efficient financial reporting.
- Design and implement complex financial reports, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Trial Balances, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PeopleSoft GL with other systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for future reference.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PeopleSoft Financial implementations, with a focus on GL and R2R processes.
- Expertise in Process Improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
