Laborer - Waste Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our Veolia team. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our waste management services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload and reload box trucks, van trailers, and vacuum trucks.
  • Handle and maneuver containers of industrial waste, requiring the ability to lift up to 80 pounds safely.
  • Operate various types of power tools.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Perform offsite work as needed to assist the team with vacuum truck services and waste pickups.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience operating counterbalance forklifts (preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent physical health, with regular lifting of up to 80 pounds.
  • Experience using various types of power tools.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Forklift license (asset).

Work Environment:

This is a permanent, full-time position with 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
