Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Garbage Truck Driver to join our team at Excelone Staffing Services. As a key member of our waste management team, you will be responsible for operating a garbage truck and ensuring the safe and efficient collection of waste in various locations.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a garbage truck and perform daily routes to collect waste from various locations.
  • Check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
  • Hold a valid AZ class license and DZ class license, as well as an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Have experience operating a garbage truck and snow transportation truck.
  • Pass a driver's validity license check and driving record check (abstract).
  • Drive a manual transmission vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
  • Work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Communicate effectively with team members and have excellent oral communication skills.
  • Be flexible and a team player.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

This is a casual position with a work term of 40 to 48 hours per week. The work language is English.
