About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Food and Beverage Server to join our team at Yellowknife Restaurant Limited Partnership. As a Food and Beverage Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide attentive and courteous service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
    • Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
  • Food and Beverage Service
    • Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables.
    • Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings.
  • Menu Knowledge
    • Describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers.
    • Advise on menu selections and make recommendations.
  • Point of Sale and Cash Handling
    • Balance cash and record sales.
    • Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Will train.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment.
    • Standing for extended periods.
    • Work under pressure.
  • Physical Demands
    • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling.
