Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Canada Data Communications Management Corp. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and cost-effective cost estimates to our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and respond to client requests for quotations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to advise on the most efficient production methods and provide detailed estimates.
  • Maintain relationships with external suppliers to ensure access to competitive pricing and product availability.
  • Plan and coordinate production activities to meet client requirements, considering factors such as cost, quality, and schedules.
  • Review and revise estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and product availability to ensure the best possible estimates.
  • Work closely with production staff to resolve any production issues and explore options for cost savings.
  • Operate estimating and related software to manage client estimates and production schedules.
  • Source new products and print supplies, negotiate prices, and secure vendors/suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in Graphic Communication Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the printing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of print production processes, terminology, and requirements.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.
