The LPN Medication Care Manager plays a crucial role in providing exceptional care and services to our residents at Sunrise Senior Living. This position involves administering medications and treatments in a safe, organized manner while adhering to federal, state, and local laws, as well as Sunrise's policies and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with resident care plans and medication administration records.
- Document and review medication information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with Resident Care Directors and Wellness Nurses to ensure seamless communication and updates on resident medication needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment for medication storage and dispensing.
- Conduct Service and Health Updates, transcribe orders, and participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
- Participate in daily Cross Over meetings, risk management initiatives, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) credential.
- Certifications in CPR and First Aid.
- Ability to make informed decisions, prioritize tasks, and react calmly in challenging situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and respect for seniors.
- Previous experience working with seniors is preferred but not required.
Estimated Salary Range:$43,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications.
