The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team at Hudbay Minerals. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues with heavy duty equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment, including compressors, pumps, generators, and more
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient and safe operations
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure our equipment is running at optimal levels

Requirements:

  • Red Seal certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
  • Experience working with heavy duty equipment in a mining or industrial setting
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
