Job Title: Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Ontario Inc. in a permanent position.

Job Description:

As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks. Your duties will include:

  • Inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Estimating parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Performing scheduled maintenance service
  • Testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications

You will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to stand for extended periods. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Work Environment:

You will work in a dusty environment and be required to wear steel-toed safety boots. You will also be required to participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
