Industrial Processing Engineer

The Industrial Processing Engineer will play a key role in optimizing production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality control, and production teams to analyze, design, and implement improvements in manufacturing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control (QC) teams to ensure processes meet quality and safety standards, and assist in troubleshooting production issues.
  • Conduct time studies, process mapping, and root cause analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate process performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations to optimize production efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions (NPI) and process changes in the manufacturing environment.
  • Provide training to production staff on process improvements and best practices.
  • Assist in the selection and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in process mapping, time studies, and workflow optimization.
  • Familiarity with Quality Control (QC) processes and tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5-10% as needed.
