Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at GFL Environmental in Regina, SK.
The ideal candidate will safely operate, repair, and maintain commercial diesel and alternative fuel trucks, as well as heavy equipment, ensuring the ability to operate safely.
About the Role:- This is a full-time position with a competitive salary: $$65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

- Safely diagnose and repair complex modern CNG and diesel engines, and advanced electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance tasks such as PM and safety inspections.
- Complete required record keeping associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Review, plan, and schedule work as required.
- Mentor apprentice technicians and provide training to complete their apprenticeship program.
- Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to company safety procedures.
- Ensure shop equipment and tools are kept in a safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company safety standards.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Journeyman designation or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Provide own tools and willingness to acquire tools as required for jobs.
- Red Seal is preferred but not required.
The Technician must be able to work inside and/or outside in all different weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
