The Opportunity

This role is part of our Electrophysiology Division, based in our Mississauga office. As a Contract Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our sales force in all aspects of customer and contract relations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts in our systems and shared folders.
  2. Respond promptly to internal and external customer inquiries and requests.
  3. Ensure compliance with pricing guidelines and accurate inputting of customer contracted prices into our pricing system.
  4. Prepare and distribute contracts, amendments, and tenders to customers, adhering to established guidelines.
  5. Process contract renewals, ensuring timely completion and forwarding to customers.
  6. Collaborate with departments to ensure contract obligations are fulfilled.
  7. Work closely with the Chicago team on new developments, as required.
  8. Assist with the training of new hires, where applicable.
  9. Follow up with Sales Representatives for agreement acceptance.
  10. Set up materials in MDG/SAP/Model N, as applicable.
  11. Search for Request for Proposals.
  12. RFPs: work with the division to compile and review responses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to divisional approvals and guidelines.
  13. Execute contract management activities throughout the contract lifecycle, including value adds, contract compliance, price actions, amendments, tracking, and reconciliation.
  14. Negotiate contract terms with the business and customers.

Monthly Tasks

  1. Calculate monthly CPR billings for customers using AbbottLink or customer LIS information.
  2. Extend contracts as required in Model N.
  3. Generate evergreen amendments as needed.

Quarterly Tasks

  1. Identify contracts required for quarterly recognition, including calculation of contract values for revenue recognition and disclosure.

Yearly Tasks

  1. Implement list price increases into SAP, as applicable, and notify customers.
  2. Update shipping and handling fees in SAP, as applicable.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Translate and proofread English/French pricing proposals/documents for divisions.
  2. Provide customer communications as required, for review via email, letters, etc.
  3. Assist with various projects as assigned.
  4. Perform other administrative duties as required, such as filing, mailing, and photocopying.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Bilingualism (English and French).
  4. Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Internet, SAP, and Model N.
  5. Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
  6. Effective prioritization and juggling of responsibilities.
  7. Ability to adapt to change.
  8. Multi-tasking skills.
  9. High attention to detail.
  10. Understanding of financial concepts (rebates, credits, pricing, value).
  11. High level of organizational skills to retrieve information quickly.
  12. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  13. Able to articulate key actions and summarize conclusions.
  14. Strong understanding of general contract terms.
