Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team at Tillsonburg Children's Centre/ Community Living Tillsonburg. As a key member of our team, you will provide support and services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work in a group home setting, providing daily living support, household management, and community integration activities. You will also be responsible for assessing client needs, developing individualized plans, and collaborating with other service providers to ensure comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily living support, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management
  • Assist clients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote client independence and well-being
  • Collaborate with other service providers, including healthcare professionals and social workers
  • Participate in community integration activities, such as outings and social events
  • Assist clients with special needs, such as mobility or communication support
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
Requirements:
  • Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
