Developmental Service Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team at Tillsonburg Children's Centre/ Community Living Tillsonburg. As a Developmental Service Worker, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support and assistance to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Support clients in developing and maintaining daily routines and habits
  • Assist clients in accessing community resources and services
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for clients
Requirements:
  • Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
