Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team at Tillsonburg Children's Centre/ Community Living Tillsonburg. As a key member of our team, you will provide support and care to individuals with intellectual and mental health disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Developmental Service Worker will work in a group home setting, providing daily living support, household management, and social skills training to individuals with intellectual and mental health disabilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily living support, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management
  • Assist with social skills training, including communication, problem-solving, and daily living skills
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of each client
  • Collaborate with other service providers, including healthcare professionals and social workers
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
