Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team at Tillsonburg Children's Centre/ Community Living Tillsonburg. As a key member of our team, you will provide support and services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.

Job Summary:

The Developmental Service Worker will work in a group home setting, providing daily living support, household management, and community integration activities. You will also be responsible for assessing client needs, developing and implementing individualized plans, and collaborating with other service providers to ensure comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily living support, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to promote independence and well-being
  • Collaborate with other service providers to ensure comprehensive support and services
  • Participate in community integration activities, such as outings and social events
  • Monitor and report on client progress, making recommendations for service adjustments as needed
Requirements:
  • Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
