Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Subway. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality in our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food service operations.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and accurate service.
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met.
  • Team Management and Development
    • Supervise and train a team of 3-4 food service staff, including food and beverage servers, food service counter attendants, and kitchen and food service helpers.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physical demands.
    • Stand for extended periods and perform bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking tasks.
  • Personal Qualities and Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and customers.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism.
    Requirements
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service operations.
    • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
    • Fluency in English language.
