Job Description:
We're seeking an experienced Lead Financial Analyst to join our Regulatory Compliance team. In this role, you'll provide critical support to the Corporate Controllers by analyzing external consolidated annual and quarterly financial statements, determining the impact of conversions to IFRS and US GAAP, and ensuring relevant review processes support certification requirements. You'll also assist in the preparation of quarterly and consolidated financial statements and keep abreast of developments in financial reporting as it relates to disclosure and financial policy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze external consolidated annual and quarterly financial statements and management's discussion and analysis
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and consolidated financial statements
- Provide guidance on the application of generally accepted accounting principles
- Support the development of accounting policies and guidelines
Requirements:
A successful candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of finance, pension techniques, actuarial valuation, financial reporting, securities legislation, US and international generally accepted accounting principles, economics, and mathematics. They will also demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts. A recognized accounting designation is highly desirable.
