About the Team
The Growth Data Engineering team at Stripe is responsible for managing business-critical data across the organization. We're looking for talented data-minded engineers to help us design and build data pipelines and data-driven user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify data needs for Growth, Sales, and Marketing teams, and build efficient and scalable data products and pipelines to enable data-driven decisions.
- Design, develop, and own data pipelines, models, and products that power Stripe's Growth, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Collaborate with the Data Science team to apply and generalize statistical and econometric models on large datasets.
- Develop strong subject matter expertise and manage the SLAs for data pipelines and full-stack web applications.
- Build and refine Stripe's data foundations, including infrastructure, pipelines, and tools.
- Design and build client libraries and frameworks to log events and track user behavior.
- Refine existing data marts to help Sales and Marketing teams forecast future performance and measure ongoing attainment.
- Build data pipelines to track key GTM product metrics and measure the impact of different strategies.
- Integrate experimentation infrastructure to enable full-funnel measurement and personalization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering, with a focus on building data pipelines and applications powered by big data.
- Strong engineering background and interest in data.
- Prior experience with writing and debugging data pipelines using distributed data frameworks.
- Inquisitive nature and ability to dive into data inconsistencies to pinpoint issues.
- Knowledge of scientific computing languages and SQL.
- Experience with full-stack development languages and front-end frameworks.
- Ability to communicate cross-functionally and derive requirements.
Hybrid Work at Stripe
This role is available in an office or remote location, with a balance between in-person collaboration and flexibility.
Pay and Benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $136,800 - $244,700, with additional benefits including equity, company bonus, and wellness stipends.
