About the Team

The Growth Data Engineering team at Stripe is responsible for managing business-critical data across the organization. We're looking for talented data-minded engineers to help us design and build data pipelines and data-driven user experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify data needs for Growth, Sales, and Marketing teams, and build efficient and scalable data products and pipelines to enable data-driven decisions.
  • Design, develop, and own data pipelines, models, and products that power Stripe's Growth, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with the Data Science team to apply and generalize statistical and econometric models on large datasets.
  • Develop strong subject matter expertise and manage the SLAs for data pipelines and full-stack web applications.
  • Build and refine Stripe's data foundations, including infrastructure, pipelines, and tools.
  • Design and build client libraries and frameworks to log events and track user behavior.
  • Refine data marts to help the Sales and Marketing organization forecast future performance and measure ongoing attainment.
  • Build data pipelines to track key GTM product metrics and measure the impact of different strategies.
  • Integrate experimentation infrastructure to enable full-funnel measurement and personalization.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or Software Engineering role, with a focus on building data pipelines or applications powered by big data.
  • A strong engineering background and interest in data.
  • Prior experience with writing and debugging data pipelines using a distributed data framework.
  • An inquisitive nature and ability to dive into data inconsistencies to pinpoint issues.
  • Knowledge of scientific computing languages and SQL.
  • Experience with full-stack development languages and front-end frameworks.
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally and derive requirements.
Location

This role is available in an office or remote location, with a balance between in-person collaboration and flexibility.
