Academic Operations Director

The Associate Registrar role at Fleming College plays a crucial part in leading the back-office operations of the Registrar's Office (RO). This includes admissions, registration, records, student fees, and financial aid functions. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the incumbent provides strategic direction and oversight to managers who drive overall performance and effectiveness of processes and services to support departmental objectives, college-wide strategic priorities, and enrollment targets.
In this capacity, the Associate Registrar will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient, effective, and timely Registrarial systems, processes, and services that support the college's core business activities and related targets. This involves creating policies, procedures, and service standards that meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, the incumbent will work closely with Academic and Administrative departments to provide guidance and direction on matters relating to business processes and policy issues impacting student enrollment and retention.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, International Relations/Business, or a related field. A minimum of seven years of experience working at an Ontario post-secondary institution, including three years in a management capacity, is required. The successful candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of Student Enterprise Systems and the ability to analyze trends and patterns in changing business/client needs and demands.
The Associate Registrar will be expected to demonstrate strong management experience, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to manage in a multi-union environment. Strategic and operational planning experience, including developing leadership and organizational capacity, innovating and inspiring creativity, leading change, creating a culture of accountability and performance, building and sustaining relationships internally and externally, is essential.
This is a temporary full-time opportunity from until September 1, 2024. The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Performance-based incentives are also available.
