Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Circle K. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales workers, including assigning duties and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Order merchandise and authorize returns, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that customers receive excellent service.
  • Establish work schedules and manage cash handling, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and secure.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages, ensuring that customers receive a positive experience and that the store operates efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that stock levels are accurate and that products are displayed attractively.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers, including design team members, to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Conduct performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to help staff members improve their performance.
  • Support newcomers and refugees, assisting with their immediate settlement needs and providing guidance on foreign credential recognition.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and flexible attitude.
