Job Title: Labourer - Metal Fabrication

We are seeking a skilled Labourer - Metal Fabrication to join our team at TC Steel Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Labourer - Metal Fabrication will be responsible for operating metal cleaning equipment, assisting structural steel and platework fitters, and sorting metal sheets and parts. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift heavy loads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Load and unload vehicles.
  • Read and interpret work orders.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a structural steel plant, platework fabrication plant, or metal products manufacturing company.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Dependability, reliability, and a team player attitude.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Repetitive tasks.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week.
