About the Opportunity
Cape Breton Regional Hospital is seeking three full-time Geriatricians to be Zone Leaders in frailty and work in a collaborative, team-based environment that includes nursing services and administrative support.
The hospital provides a range of primary and secondary services through in-patient, outpatient, and community-based programs.

Responsibilities
- You will be a zone leader for frailty care
- Working in a collaborative frailty team in the emergency department and acute care with nurse practitioners, OTs, pharmacists, physios, and social workers
- Provide frailty-informed, ambitious, and optimistic urgent care in the first 72 hours of a patient's illness
- Be part of Nova Scotia Health's Division of Geriatric Medicine and adjunct appointment and research opportunities with Dalhousie University's Division of Geriatric Medicine
- Focus on at-risk, under-served populations, notably including older adults who live with frailty, and anyone who is indigenous, and those who live with addictions
Expected Hours
- Full-time
Qualifications
- All family physicians must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
- All specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association
