About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Chalex Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a variety of locations, including construction sites and warehouses. You will be exposed to dusty environments and will be required to handle heavy loads.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
