About the Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team at Ontario Inc. in Bookkeeping. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Payroll Preparation: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as T4 statements and other relevant documents.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy and timeliness in all financial transactions.
  • Reporting: Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required by management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Transportation: Own vehicle.
