Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team at Ontario Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting principles, with the ability to maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Prepare T4 statements and other statements
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field
  • Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
