Senior Financial Accountant

DLL Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Analysis: Review and analyze monthly P&L and balance sheet information to identify material variances and provide detailed explanations.
- Account Reconciliation: Prepare and investigate account reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit sales tax returns accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Month-End Support: Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure smooth month-end closing activities and daily operations.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the General Ledger using Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Accounting Research: Research and apply appropriate accounting treatments for various transactions in accordance with IFRS and ASPE.
- Audit Preparation: Collaborate with the Finance team to prepare for auditor visits, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by management, including continuous improvement initiatives.
- Education: University degree or diploma in accounting.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting or finance.
- Skills: Strong reconciliation skills, advanced proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with Word.
- Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics is preferred.
- Documentation: Proficiency in documenting processes and controls.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the leasing industry and familiarity with InfoLease is an asset.
- Remote Work: Ability to work remotely and independently, as well as in a virtual team environment.
