As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Network Maintenance and Administration: Ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and mainframe networks.
- Hardware and Software Evaluation and Installation: Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure optimal performance.
- Problem-Solving and Support: Provide top-notch problem-solving services to network users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- Backup and Recovery Operations: Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in virtualization, networking software, networking hardware, networking security, intranet, servers, and Web service design.
- Security and Safety: Bondable, basic security clearance, and a criminal record check.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
