Job SummaryThe successful candidate will lead field reconnaissance and archaeological impact assessments for various industries, including oil and gas, hydro, forestry, and transportation. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of cultural resource management principles.
Key Responsibilities- Lead field reconnaissance and archaeological impact assessments
- Identify areas of archaeological potential and archaeological sites
- Collect and manage data
- Ensure compliance with permit requirements
- Collaborate with local First Nations
- Prepare interim reports and communicate with Field Directors and Permit Holders
- Promote a strong safety culture and work collaboratively within Ecofor's corporate culture
- Undergraduate degree in Archaeology or Anthropology, or a relevant discipline
- Minimum of one year experience in cultural resource management
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Experience with handheld GPS units, mapping software, pedestrian survey, subsurface testing, excavation, and systematic data collection
- Ability to conduct strenuous fieldwork in various conditions
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software
- Valid Driver's License
