Job Title: Broadcast Spray Crew Leader

Wright Canada Holdings Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Broadcast Spray Crew Leader to join our team. As a key member of our forestry crew, you will be responsible for supervising the broadcast treatment of all vegetation within designated areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the broadcast spray crew to ensure efficient and effective treatment of vegetation.
  • Communicate departmental policies, plans, and procedures to crew members and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct safety training and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Document hazard assessments, inspections, and crew activities.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and minimize disruption to client operations.
  • Train and evaluate crew members, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Organize logistics, navigate remote areas, and gain access to worksites.
  • Operate and maintain large vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
  • Work with helicopters and other equipment as required.
  • Maintain spray packs and equipment, and manage inventory of chemicals and accessories.
Requirements:
  • Experience managing crews in forestry or herbicide application contexts.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Valid driver's license and experience driving large vehicles.
  • Negative drug screen result and valid first-aid certification.
  • Competency with Avenza PDF Maps, Excel, and mobile apps.
  • Map reading skills and ability to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Decision-making skills and willingness to work in a remote setting.
  • Preparation for work in all weather conditions.
