Job Title: Broadcast Spray Crew Leader

Wright Canada Holdings Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Broadcast Spray Crew Leader to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Broadcast Spray Crew Leader will be responsible for supervising the broadcast treatment of all vegetation within designated areas, communicating departmental policies and procedures to team members, and conducting safety training and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise broadcast treatment of all vegetation within designated areas
  • Communicate departmental policies and procedures to team members
  • Conduct safety training and inspections
  • Document hazard assessments and inspections
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with clients
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks with minimal disruption to client operations
  • Train and coach employees
  • Organize logistics and navigate resource roads
  • Operate and maintain large/heavy trucks and off-road vehicles
  • Work with helicopters and maintain spray packs and equipment
  • Assist with payroll and data entry
  • Monitor and record weather conditions
Requirements:
  • Experience managing crews in forestry context and/or herbicide application
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and experience driving large vehicles
  • Negative drug screen result and valid first-aid certification
  • Competency with Avenza PDF Maps, Excel, and mobile apps
  • Map reading skills and physical fitness
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and make decisions
  • Willingness to work in remote settings and prepare for all weather conditions
