Job Summary

As a Water and Sanitation Specialist with Medecins Sans Frontieres, you will play a crucial role in preventing and controlling diseases transmitted by contaminated water or poor sanitation. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a reliable water supply, constructing or upgrading sanitary facilities, and promoting hygiene practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement water and sanitation strategies to ensure the health and well-being of communities
  • Collaborate with medical and non-medical staff to achieve project objectives
  • Train and supervise team members to ensure effective water and sanitation practices
  • Ensure compliance with MSF's water and sanitation policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Technical degree in civil, geological, mechanical, or environmental engineering with a focus on water and sanitation
  • Minimum two years of relevant post-qualification work experience
  • Excellent command of English, with proficiency in French or another language
  • Experience in managing staff in a multicultural team
