About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water and Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for preventing and controlling diseases transmitted by contaminated water or poor sanitation and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a reliable water supply and ensure the construction or upgrading of sanitary facilities
  • Support the promotion of hygiene and organize appropriate medical waste disposal
  • Work closely with medical and non-medical staff on the project team, including training and supervising other team members

Requirements

  • Technical degree in civil, geological, mechanical, or environmental engineering with an emphasis on surface water, underground water, treatment, distribution, and discharge
  • Minimum two years of relevant post-qualification work experience
  • Experience in managing staff in a multicultural team, including supervision and training
  • Excellent command of English, as well as French (level B2) or another language (Arabic, Spanish)
