Job Title: Water and Sanitation Specialist

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is seeking a highly skilled Water and Sanitation Specialist to join our team. As a Water and Sanitation Specialist, you will play a critical role in preventing and controlling diseases transmitted by contaminated water or poor sanitation and hygiene.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a reliable water supply and ensure the construction or upgrading of sanitary facilities.
  • Support the promotion of hygiene and organize appropriate medical waste disposal.
  • Work closely with medical and non-medical staff on the project team to ensure effective implementation of water and sanitation programs.
  • Train and supervise other team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Technical degree in civil, geological, mechanical, or environmental engineering with an emphasis on surface water, underground water, treatment, distribution, and discharge.
  • Minimum two years of relevant post-qualification work experience.
  • Experience in managing staff in a multicultural team, including supervision and training.
  • Excellent command of English, as well as French (level B2) or another language (Arabic, Spanish).
