Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Senior Associate in our Edmonton office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the electrical department, managing business development activities, and providing technical guidance to team members.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the electrical department and manage business development activities, including identifying opportunities in the local market.
  • Responsible for design execution of the department and allocation and oversight of project management, including workload distribution and financial management.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members, ensuring designs comply with company total quality standards.
  • Manage department recruiting efforts, annual reviews, timesheet and expense report approvals, performance management, and team member relations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of electrical project engineering experience within building services environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities and experience in managing a team.
  • Able to work independently as well as work with a local and national team of leaders.
  • Solid understanding of provincial building code(s), Canadian Electrical Code, CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES, and NFPA standards.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
