About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Model Risk Governance Team of the Risk Management Division at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA as a Senior Model Risk Governance Specialist. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a consistent implementation of the Model Risk Governance framework for all models across the Americas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the enhancement of our AMER model risk appetite and management framework definition, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with model usage.
  • Engage model owners/users/developers to collate and maintain accurate records of the SG AMER Model Inventory, ensuring timely completion of annual certification campaigns.
  • Perform quality controls on independent reviews performed by Validation teams, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement model risk governance processes, including model risk assessment and reporting to relevant governance forums, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (SR11-07) and industry standards.
  • Prepare presentations to regulators and internal/external audit on model risk management topics, effectively communicating complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Model Risk Management related areas, with a strong understanding of model risk regulatory requirements and industry standard practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, with a focus on statistical modeling and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and present complex ideas to diverse audiences.
