SGS Socièté Générale de Surveillance SA offers a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Model Risk Governance Team. With a strong background in model risk management, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of our model risk governance framework across all models at SGS Socièté Générale de Surveillance SA in the Americas.

About the Job:

This role is a critical part of our team's mission to contribute to the sustainable growth of the organization through efficient risk management processes. As a Senior Model Risk Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the AMER Model Inventory, as well as overseeing the Model Risk Management tool (GRC Platform). Your expertise will ensure that our models are accurate, reliable, and appropriately used in decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the enhancement of our AMER model risk appetite and management framework definition.
  2. Engage with model owners/users/developers to maintain the SG AMER Model Inventory and participate in the annual certification campaign.
  3. Perform quality controls on independent reviews performed by Validation teams.
  4. Implement model risk governance processes, including model risk assessment and reporting to relevant governance forums.
  5. Prepare materials for regulators and internal/external audit on model risk management topics.
  6. Collaborate with technology partners to design and roll out the firm's strategic model inventory and workflow solution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years of experience in Model Risk Management related areas.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Model Risk regulatory requirements (SR11-07) and industry standard practice.
  • Experience in drafting policy and procedure documentation for senior audiences.
  • Good understanding of risk metrics and model risk controls.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as various benefits, including supportive maternity/paternity leave policies, health spending accounts, and a culture of continuous development.
