Critical Care Nursing Instructor

Our organization is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services in Nova Scotia. We are currently seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Nursing Instructor I/II. This position will play a vital part in our team, contributing to the development and implementation of educational programming for nursing and interprofessional programs.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating learning according to the prescribed curriculum and working collaboratively with the Nurse Educator and Nursing Instructor IV to provide educational programming using face-to-face, simulated, and online delivery methods. They will also practice according to the Registered Nurses Act, Nova Scotia College of Nursing, and Standards of Practice of Registered Nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of entry-level and specialty level educational programming
- Facilitate learning according to the prescribed curriculum
- Work collaboratively with the Nurse Educator and Nursing Instructor IV
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, an active practicing license in good standing with Nova Scotia College of Nurses, and a certificate course or CNA certification in Critical Care nursing. They should also have a minimum of two years' recent and continuous clinical experience in Critical Care nursing and current experience with classroom, online, and skill/simulation teaching. Additionally, they should possess BLS for Health Care Providers certification and demonstrated recent professional development relevant to maintaining currency in practice and education.
Benefits:
This is a Temporary Long Assignment, Full-Time (75 hours bi-weekly) position with a competitive hourly rate of $44.44 - $55.20 and an annual salary range of $86,660 - $107,637. Successful candidates may also be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
