About the RoleAs a Child Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to children in a home environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the children in your care.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Development: Assist children with their education and development, including homework help and encouraging learning skills.
- Care and Support: Provide excellent care and support to children, including light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Safety and Health: Maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children, including supervising activities and ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Logistics and Administration: Arrange transportation for children to school and appointments, and maintain records of daily activities and health information.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, and experience in child care is an asset.
Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesThis role requires flexibility, organization, and reliability, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks. The work environment is non-smoking, and optional accommodation may be available on a live-in basis.
