Job Summary:
The Intermediate Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for engineering coordination with Oil and Gas experience at Equinox Engineering Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews technical design, drawings, specifications, and quotes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Packages engineering expertise to develop and evaluate packaged equipment vendors.
- Solicits input and coordinates with Engineering disciplines, Procurement, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Evaluates bids and provides technical recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Coordinates vendor inspections, quality surveillance, and reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Liaises with clients regarding packaged equipment issues to resolve technical queries.
- Prepares equipment specifications and evaluations to support project development.
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Exhibits good teamwork and coordination skills to ensure project success.
Education and Qualifications:
- P. Eng. – Mechanical Engineering Degree
- 5-7 years of oil and gas experience with EPCM background
- Solid working knowledge of Static and Rotating Equipment Design
- Experience developing and evaluating packaged equipment vendors
- Familiarity with relevant codes (ASME, API, etc.)
- Broad knowledge of typical gas processing packages (compressors, etc.)
- Project Engineering experience
