Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for commercial and institutional buildings. You will work closely with architects, interior designers, and other engineers to create integrated and innovative design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for commercial and institutional buildings
  • Work with architects, interior designers, and other engineers to create integrated and innovative design solutions
  • Manage and coordinate documentation from schematic design to construction documents
  • Develop and maintain high-quality contract documents for mechanical systems
  • Perform engineering studies and analysis to determine the optimum mechanical system solutions
  • Carry out day-to-day project management and lead junior staff
  • Maintain and lead internal design standards

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Registered professional with building code stamping authority (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience with HVAC, plumbing, and drainage systems for commercial and institutional buildings
  • LEED accreditation (considered an asset)
  • Experience with BIM software (Revit) and sustainable design practices
  • Strong understanding and experience with schematic design, design development, contract documents, and contract administration
