Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team on a 16-month contract. As a key member of our HR function, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing HR activities across our Toronto and Montreal facilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coach supervisors and managers on complex employee-related matters, ensuring compliance with documentation and closure requirements.
  • Lead investigations into allegations of harassment, performance issues, or health and safety incidents, maintaining confidentiality throughout.
  • Ensure fair and equitable application of Employment Standards policies and practices, recommending updates as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, including employee files, WSIB, training records, and HR data, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage recruitment cycles from intake meetings to screening, interviewing applicants, and conducting new hire orientations.
  • Administer benefits programs, including disability claims, insurance provider communications, and early or modified returns to work support.
  • Support Performance Management initiatives, facilitate internal events, and maintain employee Health & Safety training records.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience preferably in manufacturing.
  • Leadership experience of 2+ years, demonstrating strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of provincial legislation regarding health and safety, employment, and human rights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to adapt to diverse cultures and departments.
  • Bilingualism is an asset, as is prior experience with HiBOB and/or Payworks.
