At CPP Investments, we are seeking a highly skilled Transformation Director to lead the Assurance and Advisory team in maximizing the value delivered by audits, advisory engagements, and strategic projects.

Our mission is to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Canada Pension Plan Fund, which is projected to reach $3 trillion by 2050. We invest in all major asset classes and have offices in several locations around the world.

The Transformation Director will be responsible for leading the effective planning and execution of audits, developing work programs that focus on key risks to the organization, and ensuring adherence to our Audit Manual and the Institute of Internal Auditors Standards. The successful candidate will also provide advisory services that meet management expectations while maintaining objectivity and independence.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead the execution of audits, including developing objectives and scope, optimizing resourcing, and identifying insightful findings.
  • Provide advisory services that meet management expectations, while maintaining objectivity and independence.
  • Streamline audit processes to support shorter, more targeted audits.
  • Demonstrate agility to anticipate, adapt, and pilot approaches that create value.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in consulting, internal/external audit, and/or risk management at large and complex financial institutions, public companies, and/or investment companies.
  • Broad and deep knowledge and experience in investment and/or asset management and asset management operations and strong understanding of their risk implications.
  • Excellent knowledge of audit methodologies, project management, and risk management practices preferably in the investment management or related financial services areas.
About the Role:

The estimated salary for this role is between $150,000 to $200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
