About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Bench Hand to join our team at Irene's Bakery Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing dough, batters, and icings for our baked goods, as well as operating machinery and maintaining inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough and batters according to recipes and special customer orders
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Bake mixed dough and batters
  • Prepare special orders and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
  • Draw up production schedules and ensure quality meets established standards
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas and maintain a clean and sanitized environment
  • Operate machinery and maintain inventory
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Food safety/handling skills
