About the Job

Gauthier Drywall Inc is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to create smooth surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to create smooth surfaces
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to create a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to install drywall and other materials
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in drywall installation
  • Drywall Finisher Trade Certification
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty and noisy conditions, and in various locations, including commercial, institutional, and residential settings.
