Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll & HR Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing expert payroll and benefits administration support to our 8 divisions in Canada and the USA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll and benefits processing/administration for our 8 divisions in Canada and the USA, and streamlining/integrating payroll processing across these divisions (50% of your time).
  • Completing journal entries and submitting payroll tax information.
  • Providing expert HR advice and guidance to hiring managers and other stakeholders.
  • Liaising with external HR consultants and employment lawyers as required.
  • Completing recruitment functions and supporting the creation of new HR initiatives.
  • Overseeing health and safety and ensuring information is up-to-date and adheres to relevant guidelines.
  • Examining current processes to propose initiatives or solutions and assisting in driving these new processes forward.

Requirements:

  • An excellent communicator with the ability to engage with others and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Able to handle confidential information and maintain discretion.
  • Experience in full-cycle payroll processing and benefits administration.
