Financial Analyst Role

As a Financial Analyst at Eurofins CDMO Alphora, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis that supports the business and is compliant with IFRS accounting standards, government regulations, and internal policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct Internal Financial Reporting
    • Develop or improve existing reporting models that deliver on the requirements of multiple business units and locations
    • Assist in month-end and annual close process
    • Prepare and deliver periodic and ad-hoc management reports (re: costs, capital, project time inputs, variances, budgets, etc.)
  • Facilitate Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Analyze financial accounts as well as business unit performance for the purposes of identifying issues and making recommendations for change, including limited account reconciliations
    • Support the business planning cycle for the annual budgets and multi-year plans
    • Develop and maintain the planning models used in forecasts and budgets that accommodate multiple business units and locations relating to costs and revenues, including resource capacity planning models (actual and forecasting time)
  • Monitor and Reconcile Inventory Accounts
  • Identify and Implement Financial System Enhancements
  • Analyze General Accounts and Prepare Journal Entries
  • Assist in Educating Employees
  • Perform Additional Duties

Qualifications

  • Degree/diploma in accounting or related field required
  • Min. 2-5 years experience in a similar accounting role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite - especially Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, sumif etc.)
  • Experience supporting an external audit an asset
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail a must
  • Must take initiative and be results-driven
