Role Overview

The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is seeking a skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial planning team, you will be responsible for developing and managing financial plans and budgets to ensure the effective execution of our strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage financial plans and budgets to support business unit initiatives.
  • Provide financial analysis and forecasting to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of financial plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial planning and analysis capabilities.

Requirements

  • Accounting designation or near completion.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on developing and managing financial plans and budgets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
