Data Sales Director for TMX Datalinx

The TMX Group, a leading global exchange operator, is seeking an experienced Data Sales Director to drive revenue growth and expand its client base in the Data Management and Analytics business function.

As a key member of the Datalinx team, you will report directly to the Global Head of Datalinx Sales and play a critical role in promoting the company's full product suite, with a focus on solutions tailored for data management and analytics clients.

This strategic sales position requires a deep understanding of the data management business function, as well as the ability to effectively articulate the value proposition of TMX Datalinx to clients. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales plan to achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets, including identifying new business opportunities, building a diverse pipeline, and managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • A post-secondary degree in Business, Technology, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of proven success in selling market data solutions to data management clients
  • A strong track record of consistent achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators
  • Active engagement within the global institutional trading community
  • A deep understanding of the market data needs and challenges of the data management business function

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience

In addition to a competitive salary, this role offers a hybrid work arrangement with 2-3 days spent in the Toronto office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong network of contacts within the financial industry.
